Lyrics

VERSE 1
Wisdom has built her house in fullness Set the table lit the way
She sends her call along the highways Calling us to turn and stay
Come and eat the bread I offer Drink the wine prepared for you
Leave the ways of simple living Learn to walk in what is true

Those who love correction grow They are shaped by honest light
Those who fear the Lord will learn and return to walk upright

CHORUS
There are two tables set before me, one brings life, one leads to loss
I will choose the place of your life; I will choose the table of wisdom my God
I will not eat stolen bread, I will not drink hidden lies
I choose life, I choose the truth, I choose your table God
I will choose your table my God

VERSE 2
Foolishness calls out from corners. Loud and empty full of pride
Offering stolen pleasure Hiding death on the inside
Many enter without seeing Thinking this is liberty
They don't know they're sitting in the shadow of eternity

Teach me Lord to love correction, to receive instruction well
Let the fear of God be the beginning of my praise
Close my ears to foolish voices, open eyes to truth and light
With reverence I choose today the table where I'll stay

CHORUS
There are two tables set before me. One brings life, one leads to loss
I choose life, I choose the truth, I choose your table God
I will choose the table, your table of wisdom my God

There are two tables set before me One brings life, one leads to loss
I choose life I choose the truth I choose your table God
I will choose the table, your table of wisdom my God
